The latest transfer story circulating the press today is that Chelsea have had an offer for Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro rejected by his club Juventus.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has recently revealed that he is committed to the Premier League champions and is already looking to strengthen his side, ahead of next season.
According to Juventus club director Giuseppe Marotta, “Our desire is to not sell any of our most important players. We said no to a very good offer from Chelsea for Alex Sandro.”
Alex Sandro started his career at Brazilian side Atletico Paranaense before impressing at Santos during a loan spell. The Brazilian went on to secure a move to Portuguese heavyweight FC Porto in 2011 for a fee of €9.6 million.
In 2015 he joined Serie A champions Juventus on a five year deal, for a fee of €26 million. Sandro would be an ideal signing for Antonio Conte as during his time with Juventus, Sandro has become more than familiar with the wing back role in the Juventus side.
The use of the wing backs was implemented by former Juventus boss Conte during his time there and we have seen this season that he has used it to great success with Chelsea
