Juventus vs Monaco Preview

Juventus are looking to reach their second Champions League final in 3 years as they have an away leg lead to defend at home against free scoring Monaco.

Juventus beat Monaco 2-0 last time out with Gonzalo Higuain bagging a brace to ensure that Juventus grabbed a vital away win at the Stade Louis II.

Juventus come into this game having won 3 of their last 6 in all competitions but they also rested several key players at the weekend against Torino where they drew 1-1.

The Old Lady topped their Champions League group and their defence of BBC (Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini) has been a stalwart in their march towards the final in Cardiff.

Monaco look to avenge that 2-0 defeat they suffered in their home leg and will know that they need to strike early in order to stand any chance of toppling Juventus.

Monaco have been scoring at will this season as they have scored a staggering 98 goals in Ligue 1 and are currently top with 3 games to go.

The “Los Rouges et Blancs”  (The red and whites) topped their Champions League group and knocked out the likes of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund on their way to the semi finals.

Kylian Mbappe has caught the attention of European’s elite with his stunning performances and great goal scoring record for an 18 year old. In 40 games this season he has notched up 24 goals.

Sami Khedira is available for Champions League selection after missing out on the first leg.

There will be some doubts for Monaco over left back Benjamin Mendy after he missed the game against Nancy at the weekend


If Monaco score 3 unanswered goals they will go through on away goals

If the tie ends 2-2 at the end of 90 minutes it will go to extra time and potentially penalties
