Preview: St Helens Town vs. Whitchurch Alport

Tonight we have full commentary from Volair Park for the NWCFL First Division game between St Helens Town and Whitchurch Alport.

Luke Goddard and Carl Everall’s men will be looking to regain ground lost this weekend, which saw them slip to fifth in the league after having no game.

A win tonight could see Alport rise above fourth-placed Widnes should they fail to beat Bacup Borough, although they will have played a game more.

Last time out the Reds’ put seven past Daisy Hill, with a brace from Simon Everall playing a part of the seven – no player in the league has won more Man of the Match awards than the Alport man.

For Alan Gillespie’s side, they have played just once since we last seen them in the 3-1 loss to Chadderton, getting a 3-0 victory.

Goals from Liam Dodd, Andrew Gillespie and the returning Dale Korie-Butler were enough to see off Atherton LR.

It’s sure to be an excellent game and you can hear every kick live from 7.45pm on blivesports.com
