Premier League Darts Preview: Week 10

The Tournament travels to Dublin’s 3Arena for week 9 of the Premier League as James Wade and Raymond Van Barneveld play twice.

James Wade vs Michael Van Gerwen

Van Gerwen is in confident mood ahead of taking on Wade saying before the game:”I’m feeling good and I’m top of the table, and I want to carry on with these performances”.

However the World champion insisted he has to focus on the games ahead to maximize his points haul, adding:” I’ve got to make sure I focus on the game with James, and I want to get another two points in front of a great crowd in Dublin”.

Raymond Van Barneveld vs Phil Taylor

5x World Champion Barneveld is pleased with how his form is going but insists he needs to be cautious saying:” I’m happy with how it’s going”, ” I’ve won the last 4 matches now and I’ve got to take it one game at a time this week”.

Phil Taylor is expecting a special occasion in Dublin, heaping praise on his rival saying:” I love playing him more than anyone, he’s like Ronnie O Sullivan or Eric Bristow, it’s special and I love the occasions”.

Dave Chisnall vs Peter Wright

Chisnall is five points adrift of the top 4 and hopes a strong result against Wright can pile the pressure on the rest saying: ”it’s a massive night for me, if I can get a result I believe I can get on a good run to put pressure on the others”.

Chisnall also believes it is his fault he isn’t getting the desired results, adding:” I haven’t been playing that badly but it’s been frustrating for me, but it’s still in my hands and I’ve got to get the results”.

Adrian Lewis vs Gary Anderson

Anderson is hoping to carry on his good form to solidify a top 4 spot saying:” I was really pleased with the win last week, and the average was better than I thought, but this is a new game and anything can happen”.

However he also warned of the threat the ‘Jackpot’ posed, adding:” when Adrian’s on form we know how good he can be and he’s been playing well recently, so I’m looking forward to it.

Raymond Van Barneveld vs James Wade

In the final game of the evening, Barneveld will be hoping to continue his dangerous form and dispatch The Machine saying:” I’m enjoying it and if I’m enjoying it then Raymond Van Barneveld is dangerous”.

Furthermore Barney is hoping the crowd can inspire him onto victory, adding:” the fans are fantastic everywhere and always in Ireland and I love that”.
