Waterlogged pitches ruined several games on Monday and Tuesday, but some did survive.
Monday 20th March
Both Winsford United vs. West Didsbury & Chorlton and Atherton Colleries vs. Abbey Hey were postponed on Monday, meaning there was NWCFL games that night.
Tuesday 21st March
In the Premier Division, a Carl Peers goal saw Bootle beat Maine Road 1-0 at the Delta Taxis Stadium.
Rock bottom Cammell Laird 1907 picked up back-to-back victories – their only two wins this season – with a 2-1 win over Hanley Town.
Four second half goals saw Steve Wilkes’ Padiham miss the chance to climb up to 6th with a 3-1 loss against Ashton Athletic.
Meanwhile, in the First Division, Kevin Towey’s first goal in seven games saw Widnes pick up a victory away to Holker Old Boys.
Elsewhere, Charnock Richard and Silsden played out a 0-0 draw in a missed opportunity for Andy Westwell’s side to close the gap on top spot.
Postponed games included Barnoldswick Town vs. AFC Liverpool, Ashton Town vs. Daisy Hill and Alsager Town vs. City of Liverpool.
Wednesday 22nd March
As of 2pm, two games have been postponed, including Atherton Colleries vs. Abbey Hey which was rescheduled from Monday night.
The two games that survive the weather are between four teams hoping to survive the drop from the Premier Division.
Nelson travel to New Mills, with both sides deep in the relegation zone on 20 and 19 points respectively.
Three points are crucial to either side if they want to climb out of the drop zone.
Tonight’s other game sees AFC Darwen and Squires Gate clash with both sides looking over their shoulder.
Darwen currently sit 10 points clear of the relegation zone, with Gate a further five points clear of that, but with a win for either team in tonight’s other game could prove to be a springboard and these two sides will be wary of that.
No games in the First Division tonight as Adie Moran Park failed a pitch inspection for Prestwich Heys vs. Sandbach United.
Thursday 23rd March
Our live commentary returns to Volair Park in Prescot for St Helens Town vs. Chadderton in the First Division.
Coming off the back of a 2-0 victory of Stockport Town last Thursday, Alan Gillespie’s side look to climb above their opponents in the table with a win.
Chadderton are in good form, winning four of their last six, including three on the bounce where they have scored 12 and conceded just one.
This included a 7-0 drubbing of AFC Blackpool last time out at the ARK Fleetech Stadium.
